GRIPMAX®
For temporary relief of the symptoms of the common cold: nasal
and sinus congestion, post-nasal drip, runny nose, sneezing,
coughing, minor sore throat pain, headache, body ache, and fever.
GRIPMAX® is a fast-response combined drug highly
effective in the treatment for controlling influenza and colds,
including fever symptoms.
It relieves nasal congestion, lessens headache, suppresses throat
irritation, and helps loosen phlegm.
GRIPMAX® contains three ingredients to combat
symptoms of cold and influenza. Paracetamol is an analgesic
and antipyretic. It relieves headache, joint and muscle pains
(arthralgia and malign), as well as throat irritation. Pseudoephedrine
reduces nasal congestion. It clears up the sinuses. Dextromethorphan
neutralizes the dry cough from throat and bronchial irritation.
This effective combination of ingredients eliminates the most
typical signs of influenza and acute respiratory viral infection.

Interactions: Drugs that deplete vitamin B6 may inhibit the
body's ability to synthesize melatonin from the tryptophan-serotonin-melatonin
pathway. These include oral contraceptives, estrogen, hydralazine,
loop diuretics, penicillamine, and theophylline. In addition,
beta-blockers and benzodiazepines may deplete melatonin by
enzyme inhibition. Isoniazid alters vitamin B6 metabolism,
limiting formation of melatonin. Theoretically, effects may
be additive with medications which cause CNS sedation.
A deficiency of pyridoxine inhibits the synthesis of melatonin.
