SENNALAX®
CHOCOLATE Establishing
regular elimination is important to your health. The colon/bowel
is the depository for all waste material after food nutrients
have been extracted. The body normally excretes waste in 18
to 24 hours. Harmful toxins can form after this period. Daily
bowel movements promote good colon health. Remember to exercise,
drink plenty of fluids and eat high fiber food. When these
efforts don't bring results, SENNALAX® can
be a welcome solution.
Pharmaceutical Form:
Tablet.
Brown-colored, chocolate-flavored, round-shaped tablet with
beveled edges; bisect and letter "A" embossed on
one side.
NOTICE: Contact with moisture may produce surface
discoloration or erosion of the tablet.

Information:
Senna is a natural laxative. It is isolated from Cassia angustifolia
or cutifolia as Calcium Salts (Calcium Sennosides). Senna
is an anthraguinone stimulant laxative, which is used to treat
constipation. The active anthraquiones are librated from the
Sennoside glycosides by colonic bacteria and an effect usually
occurs within 6 to 12 hours of administration. Senna is usually
administered as tablets, granules, syrup and also suppositories.
Therapeutic Indications:
Senna chewable tablet is an anthraquinone stimulant laxative
used for the treatment of constipation. Sennalax stimulates
the nerve endings in the colonic mucosa, there by increasing
intestinal motility. Sennalax products generally produce bowel
movements in 6 to 12 hours.
Contradictions:
This drug is contraindicated in the case of history of allergy
to any of the ingredients.
Warnings:
There are no specific warnings or toxic symptoms when taken
as directed.
Special Warnings:
Because no data are available, the use of this drug by pregnant
women or nursing mothers is unadvisable.
Recommended Intake:
As directed by physician. Tablets must be sucked or chewed.
Expiration Date:
Manufacturing and expiration date appears on the blister and
box. After the expiration date some of the products ingredients
may diminish in strength.
How Supplied:
Chocolate flavor tablets: blister cards of 6 tablets or 12
tablets packaged in a box with one card for 6 (NDC 362900-8002-06)
or 12 tablets (NDC 362900-8002-12), or two cards of 12 tablets
packaged in a box for 24 tablets (NDC 362900-8002-24).
Storage Condition:
Store this product in its original packaging for 3 years.
Do not expose to temperatures above 30oC (86oF).
