VITRUM^® CALCIUM 600 + D400

Modern Vitamin/Mineral supplement containing a unique combination of oyster shell Calcium with a high-dose vitamin D3. This formula helps compensate for calcium & vitamin D deficiency in the elderly, works to prevent and treat osteopenia and other types of osteoporosis, reduces the occurrence of osteoporosis fracture, promotes normocalcaemia during middle age, and improves heart and nervous system function.

VITRUM^® CALCIUM 600 + D 400 balances calcium and phosphorus metabolism reduces bone resorption (resolution) and strengthens bone tissue by supplementing insufficient calcium and vitamin-D intake.
Vitamin D improves the intestinal absorption of calcium as well as its binding within the bone tissue.

VITRUM^® CALCIUM 600 + D 400 is recommended for treating conditions in the elderly, including bone fragility and hormonal disorders, and especially for those genetically susceptible to osteoporosis.
It is helpful in the treatment of complex fractures as well as various forms of osteoporosis.

Blue-green color film coated oblong shaped tablet.

Vitamins and minerals are chemical substances that are vital to the maintenance of normal body functions. Most people obtain enough vitamins and minerals in their diet, but some people have vitamin deficiencies. Serious nutritional deficiencies lead to diseases such as pellagra and beriberi, which must be treated by a physician. People who have an inadequate or restricted diet, people who have certain disorders or debilitating illnesses, and women who are pregnant or breast-feeding are among those who may benefit from taking supplemental vitamins and minerals. Supplements are also useful to people with special conditions, including the elderly, shut-ins, alcohol users, smokers and those on very restricted diets, who tend to be poorly nourished or have high cholesterol levels.

Therapeutic Indications
Adult Dietary Supplement. Can be taken by children 12 years and older as directed.

Contradictions
The use of tobacco and alcohol decrease absorption of vitamins and minerals. There are no specific warnings or toxic symptoms when taken as directed.

Warnings
Close tightly. Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or poison control center immediately.

Special Warnings
There are no special warnings to be observed when taking this multivitamin and multimineral formula as described.

Recommended Intake
Take one (1) tablet daily with meal for adults and children over 12 years old.

Expiration Date
Manufacturing and expiration date appears on the label and box. After the expiration date some of the products ingredients may diminish in strength.

How Supplied
Bottles of 100 tablets: NDC 362900-2720-10, bottles of 60 tablets: NDC 362900-2720-06, and bottles of 30 tablets: NDC 362900-2720-03. Bottles are closed with caps with tamper-evident seal under the cap. A full body-clear seal is used.

Storage Condition
Store this product in its original packaging for 3 years. Do not expose to temperatures above 30^oC (86^oF).
